Loved the one my family gave me many years ago. Although I didn't realize it didn't come with a lid, I love this one as well! I have some pot covers that I can use. And Amazon got it to me really fast! Thanks Amazon.com

"Poor imitation of old Revere ware!" 2010-02-06
By A. Stutz
This is a very poor imitation of what used to be the valued and respected Revere ware of years ago. Interior is pitting after only several weeks of use and the metal is so thin that the bottom stamp shows on the inside bottom. Revere Copper Clad Bottom 1-Quart Saucepan I have used our old complete set of Revereware pots and pans since I was married many years ago and they are ALL still good. I've never had to replace any until recently when the cost of a new handle for a small sauce pan was almost as much as a new pan. Even the handle on the new pan has no screws to remove or replace it.

 "Revere Ware" 2010-02-03
By Cle Thompson
The purchase was delivered quickly and in good shape. Only one complaint. The picture that accompanied the product on the website is misleading. It looked larger than the actual pot. I should have read the description more carefully because I ended up receiving a pot that was smaller than what I thought I was ordering.

"A Fine Product, Excellently Priced" 2010-01-31
By McLean Dave
For ten-plus years, we have used this model more frequently than any other in our kitchen. When the old one got burned, the top was reusable and the price for the bottom was great. Even the Complete-Set Price is fine for such a useful product. It's nice to see an old friend so shiny and new. Delivery was very prompt too.

Backed by a lifetime warranty, Calphalon's Commercial Hard-Anodized Cookware is made to professional standards, offering the home chef unsurpassed cooking performance, superior construction and lasting durability. The 2.5-Qt. Shallow Saucepan with Lid is designed for making and reducing sauces, roux and for heating soup or, boiling eggs. The thick bottom and sides absorb heat evenly and help protect delicate sauces from overheating. The wider, shallower design allows liquid and moisture to evaporate more quickly, so your reductions and sauces are ready sooner. Each piece in the Commercial Hard-Anodized line is made of a heavy-gauge aluminum, all-metal construction with the advanced technology of the Cool V stainless handles. The aluminum construction provides superior cooking performance by distributing the heat evenly so there are no hot spots as you cook. And because it's made entirely of metal, each pan can be used in the oven and under the broiler. The hard-anodizing seals the cooking surface, making it stick-resistant and non-reactive to the foods being cooked. The Cool V handles are designed to stay cool on the stovetop, and are balanced with such precision that the pans feel lighter when you pick them up.

By Teetee (VA, USA)
I bought this saucepan back in 2005 from amazon.com and has been using it frequently to cook all kinds of food (mainly soup and stir-fry dishes). This pan is heavy, build to last and quite versatile. I highly recommend it :) Still one of my favorite pan after all these years...

 "So far so good!" 2010-06-18
By April Israel
It's on the heavy side for me, I'm a small person. But, it cooks evenly, and is big enough to cook soupy items in my kitchen. Handle can get slightly heated closer to the pan, but I've never needed to use a potholder so far. Same goes for the lid, and it's not glass so I'm not worried about breaking it. I had a pot with a glass lid and I couldn't see in anyway, since all you see is steam and condensation.

As always, I wish it was slightly more affordable, but it's still a good buy and it's very useful.

"Quite simply, the best pan I've ever owned!" 2010-05-29
By C. Lai (Calif.)
I've owned a lot of pans over my lifetime, but nothing comes close to this! If only I had started out with Caphalon, I wouldn't have wasted my money on all those other pans! Honestly, don't let the fact that it's not non-stick scare you; it cleans up easily and is a dream. I'm actually back to buy my 2nd piece of Calphalon; the price here at Amazon is fantastic! Buy it, you won't regret it.

It's not nonstick and it's not easy to clean. I own the regular steel pans and one nonstick pan, all by Calphalon. I don't understand the point of hard-anodized.

 "beautiful" 2010-05-13
By Raymond A. Evans (USA)
Beautiful and light weight. My only surprise was the size. It's 1.5 quarts right to the top. 'My' other smaller pans seem to have an extra half quart I've gotten use to having for boiling room. This line seems to be fantastic at conducting heat. I've got a large dutch oven from the same line. I scorched it pretty good the first time I used it. With steel wool and a lot of elbow grease it didn't look too bad. Two or three uses and washings later it looked brand new! So I now use lower cooking temps and have NO problems.

Consider the sizing and cooking tempertures and you can't go wrong.

This saucepan is a good buy. The weight is very good and the heat seems to be evenly distributed. I also purchased the matching 8" fry pan and I enjoy using both of them. The price of the Cuisinart is about mid-level and a good value for the product.

For some reason, this particular size pot in the set has a tendancy to flake the stainless on the bottom...Amazon replaced with not problem, but after 3 uses, wife noticed it is starting to do the same thing..keep an eye out for this ..otherwise it is a very convenient and mostly used size.....

By VVRAJU (Herndon,Va)
Cookware arrived promptly. Saucepan and the lid look great out of the box. Online photos don't do justice. Good size for making a quick oatmeal. Cleanup is easy, stuff doesn't stick like it does in a cheap stainless steel pot. Lid gets a little hot. Overall recommend it.I bought it for 17$. Price seem to fluctuate between 17 and 20 so watch out for that.

A clever design for straining, pouring or covered cooking. The lid has a deep rim with optional straining holes. To strain, line the holes up with the pan's pour spouts and strain with ease. This pan is easy to clean, the drain holes in the lid mean kids can drain pasta easily - this is our go to pan for quick uses. We call it the "tiny pan" and everyone uses it often. I would buy more from this line if I needed other sizes.

"Small Enough to Fit into My Small Shelf" 2010-06-02

I like this size, which can fit to my small shelf in the kitchen.

I cook Japanese instant noodle and Yakisoba (w/ egg w/o water), and they don't stick to the surface like I was worried.

I can only cook 1 noodle at a time.

I was hoping this pan would be a bit heavier, but I've used it so often that now I actually like it's light weight. The strainer in the lid is helpful, and the pan is the perfect size for a can of veggies. It's becoming one of my most used pans. I would recommend this pan.

"WOW a pan that you can trust !" 2010-06-02

Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Stainless 4-Quart Saucepan with Cover

This pan replaces a 3 QT. stainless saucepan with copper bottom that we used for over 30 years. What a difference, this pan comes to a simmer or boil quicker, over a lower flame height. Once there you can set the timer and let the pan do the cooking. The previous pan required a lot more attention and stirring, due to the hot bottom. We also like the the nice fitting lid and the dripless pouring rim feature does work . Finally a pan that we can trust !

 "As Advertised" 2010-05-17
By Realist (Atlanta, GA)
If you are cooking with gas multiclad cookware is a must because it will eliminate the hot spots on the sides that you often get from cooking with bottom only cladded cookware. I am using both Al-Clad and Cuisinart Multiclad and can't tell any difference. I will definitely be purchasing other Cuisinart pieces to upgrade my stainless steel cookware set. After several months of use I will recommend Cuisinart Multiclad Pro as a good buy.

"disappointed after reading great reviews" 2010-04-16
By Elizabeth Johnston (USA)
I needed to replace one Revereware pot and couldn't find something that seemed to be as good quality that wasn't in a set. Then I found and read a number of reviews on the Cuisinart cookware. I was excited to get the pot and use it! But then, when I got it and used it, I discovered two things about the pot's design that should be improved. First, because of the design of the lid, when you remove it, it drips water all over the stove top unless you hold it over the pot to let the water drip into the pot. That's not a problem unless you didn't grab the lid handle with a pot holder. Then you want to move the lid fast - and then you leave a water trail behind you as the lid drips the condensation. The handle of the pot has not gotten too hot to hold so that's accurate with what I had read. I like the look of the pot, but, obviously, you buy pots and pans to use not to look at! Could be improved, in my opinion.

 "Induction Ready" 2010-04-15
By Zeral D. Holland
Amazon, why can you not put the words "Induction Ready" in your description of this and other cookware that will work on an Induction Cooktop? This is a very good pan and I would have bought it a long time ago if I had known for sure it would work.

Also to Cuisinart. You should make a 1 quart sauce pan.

None of this changes the fact that this is a very good pan. I have had All Clad for a long time but this pan is better.

"All Clad Performance for half the price" 2010-03-09
By J. H. Erdsneker (Ossining, NY)
After conducting hours of research on the web by visiting multiple cooking sites and then scouring my America's Test Kitchen magazines, I decided to give the Cuisinart MultiClad Pro pots a try. I couldn't justify the expense of the all-clad, but didn't want to buy a piece of junk. I have been very impressed with the high quality and performance of this pot. They are easy to clean with my barkeeper's friend, do a great job with sauces and are the perfect addition to any gourmet's cooking arsenal. Hoping my wife buys me the large stock pot for cooking lobsters (hint hint hint honey).
