I have always used the 1 qt size for heating soups and sauces. When making something that yeilds 1 qt however, things would be close to overflowing. The next size larger I had was 3 qt, which was way too large. The quality of the All-Clad is supurb, like everything else they make. All-Clad had now come up with 5d, so these "older" products are often on sale. I have been very pleased with the other "older" products and found this to be a great bargin.

Long have I coveted All-Clad cookware, and finally treated myself to three pieces, including this one. They say a watched pot never boils, but I couldn't help but watch this one. The pan heated the water evenly and my pasta cooked in a lot less time than I expected. I look forward to years of cooking bliss with this pan.

This is a really nice pan exhibiting the typical All-Clad quality. The construction is flawless and the pan provides even heating at low temperatures. While this is an expensive item it's definitely worth the price.

this is a very good quality pot but the handle is too long like most all clad pots - they take up too much room on the stove and in the cabinet

I'm glad I made this purchase. It is a great pan to own especially if you aren't cooking a big meal. Amazon is the only place I could find this pan! I own alot of All-Clad pots and pans and I love this one!
